“Your Lord has said, ’Call Me, and I will hear you!”

“O Allah! Send Your Mercy upon Mohammad and the Household of Mohammad, especially upon Your Guardian, the Reviver of Your tradition, the Establisher of Your Affair, the Inviter towards You, the Guide towards Your Path. O Allah! Hasten his time of Relief and ease his path of arrival and bless us with his union and regard us among his supporters and assistants”.

Felicitations and congratulations on the arrival of the holy month of Shaban, the month of descending blessings, the month of noble Eids, the month of the manifestation of divine light.

This noble month is an appropriate opportunity, a majestic and glorious occasion for supplications and prayers, for seeking the Relief of Prophet’s Holy Progeny (peace be upon them), and requesting the hasty reappearance of our Imam, and fulfilling the divine Promise to the honorable Apostles and to all the nations and countries, especially the oppressed ones and the ones awaiting the day of Universal Justice and the Monotheistic Islamic Governance, and the honoring of divine signs, the revival of the affairs of the Holy Progeny (peace be upon them), the announcement of devotional life, the month of conducting extensive programs of supplications.

It is appropriate for us throughout this month that we remember and recollect the virtues of the Holy Progeny (peace be upon them); their lofty positions and sublime status should not cease from remembrance. The religious sessions and commemorations, and the lectures given on these occasions, should all be directed towards the world of nearness and spiritual experience, especially, we must all focus and lay great emphasis, individually and collectively, in solitude and open, on the supplications and prayers for the hasty reappearance and Relief of the divine Remainder, our Master, Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his immediate reappearance) in the entire month.

Prayers for His Holiness and for his hasty reappearance, is a prayer for the entire humanity, for all the tribes and creeds, for the strong and the weak, for the knowledgeable and the ignorant, for the poor and the rich.

The reappearance and immediate Relief of the Affair of His Holiness, the only divine caliph, the unique successor of all the Apostles, divine messengers and all the purified Imams, will cause the deliverance of humanity from ignorance, misguidance and waywardness, from all oppressions and atrocities. A significant section of Islamic teachings and guidelines of religious leaders, comprise of those recommendations that are made for supplications, prayers, invocation of Allah (s.w.t.), and secret whisperings with Allah (s.w.t.). It is recommended to such an extent that it is said, “Supplication is the brain of servitude and worship”. (Wasail Al-Shia, volume 7, chapter 2, Hadith 8615).

Quranic verses, narrations and traditions, all lay great emphasis on the recommendation of supplications and invoking Allah (s.w.t.) by means of His Best Names; “To Allah belong the Best Names, so supplicate Him by them”. Supplicating by each name among the Best Names of Allah (s.w.t.) has its own specific effects and great cognitive messages.

A supplication enlightens and illuminates the house, eradicates the darkness, elevates the servant, and causes his ascension. If this supplication is for common interests and social success, its rewards and virtue is much more and if it is done for the Guardian of Affair and the Divine Argument, one cannot assess the level of reward and virtue that it holds. Supplication for His Holiness is in fact a supplication for all the living beings from humans to Jins and Angels. The Relief of His Holiness is the Relief of all the Prophets and Apostles, and all the devotees of Justice, Knowledge, Cognition, Awakening, Security and Ease.  

In this opportunity, its benefits and great impacts cannot be reckoned and one feels incapable of comprehending and speaking about the meanings, teachings and guidelines that are narrated in some supplications that are specific to His Holiness (may Allah hasten his reappearance).

Supplication is a school; supplication is a lesson and divine university for everyone; a lesson of knowing Allah (s.w.t.), His Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny) and the Imams (peace be upon them). It is suitable to conduct supplication programs for the Master of time, Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), extensively and comprehensively and collectively, especially in this noble month, so that all of us benefit from the blessings of the holy month of Shaban and the Eid of 15^th Shaban; especially on the eve of 15^th Shaban, which is a virtuous, blessed and holy night, the eve of the birthday of that unique successor of Prophets and the noble vicegerents, the Promised one. It is an immensely virtuous night and its reward is equivalent to the nights of ordinance (Laylatul Qadr), instead, it is one of the nights of ordinance itself. We hope that as a result of the supplications done by the believers and their emphasis in prayer for the hasty reappearance, the causes of His Holiness’ Relief will be established.

O Allah! Hasten the Relief of Your Guardian and Argument, and send Mercy upon him and all his purified forefathers and place us among his supporters and assistants.
